To design is to communicate clearly

Clearly I'm going to have to buy doubles of some of my bath products. Since Adrian has discovered the joy of smelling like a Man on the Go, they seem to be disappearing at a quicker rate than usual.

That's not why I'm writing, though. I'm writing because I just got the Contract of a LIFETIME. I'm going to be redoing the Ballroom, Library, and Drawing Room of March Palace, home of the Ministers of Magic for the past two centuries. These are public rooms seen by foreign and local officials, guests of the Minister, and all kinds of other very very important people! My rising star just bloody TOOK OFF!!

So who wants to go out for drinks to celebrate?

And speaking of celebration, I'll be coming home for lunch.

This year, I'm twenty-nine. I always thought the approach of thirty would bother me, but you know what? It really doesn't. My career's really taking off, I have a wonderful husband who adores me, I have dear friends and family and a beautiful house...so why should I worry about being older? My life is much better now than it was at eighteen, so why should I wish to be eighteen again? I'll take my age, even if it means I spend a little more time examining my hair for signs of gray.

So, I feel like I'm approaching the party tonight as a true celebration. It's a wonderful life, and I'm really looking forward to being able to celebrate that with all my friends and family and most of all with my sister. Happy Birthday to Us!

Once again, it is the time of year when I celebrate the birth of my sister, and my sister celebrates the birth of me - because after all, what's the fun in having a twin if you can't throw each other splendid birthday parties?

This year, our birthday falls on a Thursday, but we are not going to let that stand in the way of the 8th Annual Patil Birthday Extravaganza. We're giving it a little shift over to Friday, February 20th, and this year's location is the VIP lounge at Mariposa. It will be just as fabulous as it is every single year, and I can't wait to see all of you there! And as always, no presents; just bring your charming selves to help Padma and I each celebrate a grand life with wonderful friends.
